At the meeting on March 6th in Kotor, Mr. Osmo Vatres ras re-elected as President of Balcan Club of Peace, and the Balkan Charter of Peace was accepted to be awarded to people and organisations that contributed to peace promotions.
Mr. Radivoje Kosic was elected President of the Commission on Balkan Charter of Peace, while Mr. Sulejman Muftarevic was elected Secretary General. The meeting was attended by UN and UNESCO representatives.
Prof.Dr. Geir Lundestad from Oslo, Director of Nobel Prize Committeee, suported the meeting expressing his congratulations.
Mr. Al Gore, former Vice President of the USA and winner of the Nobel Prize for peace also sent his support.
